Chile’s copper production reached 458500 tonnes in April, declined from 473400 tonnes a month earlier, according to latest data from Chile’s central bank.
The country had produced 446,900 tonnes of copper in April 2018.
Copper production during the first four months of 2019 totalled 1.804 million tonnes, down from 1.864,2 million tonnes in the same period last year.
Chile’s copper exports in April declined to 472,400 tonnes from 511,300 tonnes a month earlier. On year-on-year basis, exports down 4.29% from 493,600 tonnes in April 2018.
The country exported 1.945,9 million tonnes of copper during the first four months of 2019, rose from 1.852,5 million tonnes in the corresponding period last year.
